How to write a cover letter can feel like the biggest mystery of the job search process. What should you include? Should you tailor your cover letter to every position you apply for? In this session, you will learn why a cover letter is like a love letter, and how to write a standout cover letter every time with the “love letter” format.

During this session you will:

  • Receive an in-depth overview of the “love letter” format.
  • Unlock the top 3 characteristics of standout cover letters and how to integrate these characteristics into your cover letter.
  • Understand the logic behind what to include in your cover letter, plus how to use proper organization and formatting techniques.

Make a positive impression on future employers and foster respect in professional settings! In this NEW Career Readiness Workshop, CCAS career counselors Erin Ahart and Johnette Ruffner-Ceaser will guide you through the fundamentals of professional etiquette in the U.S.

In this session, you will:

  • Learn key professional behaviors, from email communication to Zoom etiquette.
  • Understand the difference between "casual" and "professional," including workplace attire and how to be professional while being yourself.
  • Discover what's considered "professional" in your industry and workplace.
  • Learn how to build professional relationships and navigate appropriate conversation topics.
