Applying for Doctoral Fellowships and Grants

We invite CCAS PhD students to join us for a webinar with Dr. Rashawn Ray, the Ford Foundation Fellowship program's Washington, D.C. liaison. The Ford Foundation is offering over 30 dissertation fellowships to doctoral students completing their dissertation during the 2023-2024 academic year. Learn more about these fellowships and have an opportunity to ask Dr. Ray your questions!

Fall 2022 CCAS Ph.D. Workshop I
 
Students completing their dissertation in Fall 2022 or in the near future are strongly encouraged to attend the online Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) workshop. Our Student Services team members will review the submission process, and formatting requirements, and briefly discuss upcoming deadlines. This workshop will only cover requirements specific to CCAS Ph.D. students. Please register here in advance to attend this workshop. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Copyright and your dissertation: When do you need permission to use the work of others or your own previous or future publications? Join us for this informative online workshop hosted by Barrett Matthews and Shira Eller of the GW Libraries Scholarly Communications team and learn about the steps you must take to protect your work.  Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 potential graduates whose dissertations will include previously published works are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
