CCAS Celebrating The Liberal Arts

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, we will showcase the richness of Liberal Arts Education. Despite the challenges we face today, we believe that liberal arts education is a value that should be protected. From the banning of books to the failure to acknowledge scientific evidence of a continuing climate crisis, we seek to educate the community on why liberal arts education is so important.

We will have a few research panelists from various areas in CCAS:

  • Dr. Anna-Marie Siegel- Senior Associate Director of Graduate Student Services
    • Research: "Inclusion in Predominantly White Institutions of Higher Education in the United States: The Voices of Black Women Faculty"
  • Chase Brown- Graduate Teaching Assistant/PhD Student in Political Science
    • Research: "What Influences Support for Gender Affirming Care for Transgender Youth?"
  • Isabella Franco:  Undergraduate Sophomore
    • Research: "Beyond Borders: Migrant Journeys, Organized Crime, and the Paradox of Security at the US-Mexico Border"
  • Dr. Manuel Cuellar-Associate Professor of Spanish and Latin American Literatures and Cultures
    • Research: “Choreographing Nationalisms, Identity, and Belonging”
