Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week was started in 1993 by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students as a way to support and appreciate graduate and professional students. The week seeks to emphasize the contributions, impact and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States.

Events

In 2024,  CCAS and the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs (OGPA) hosted a number of events for students during GSAW. 

Monday, March 25

Opening Reception, 5:00 - 6:30 PM, USC Continental Ballroom (Hosted by OGPA)

This will be an opportunity to socialize and network with students from all of GW's schools. GW President Granberg and administrators from each school will also be in attendance. Refreshments and hor d'oeuvres will be served. Event capacity will be capped at 300 students, so registration is required.

All Graduate Assistants and Graduate Research Assistants are invited to enjoy refreshments and peer networking in appreciation of their vital service to the university.

Stop by the 3rd floor of the USC to visit the tables of all the centralized offices for graduate student-related services at GW. We will also be providing free professional headshots for those that attend. Cookies from Captain Cookie will also be provided. It is also possible to attend through Zoom.
