Hi! My name is Anna Rawls and I’m a first year graduate student getting my Masters in New Media Photojournalism in the Corcoran School of Art and Design. I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina and received my Bachelors degree in Anthropology from Appalachian State University. I love to be outdoors, learn new things, travel, make photographs and eat dark chocolate. In my free time you’ll find me on a run or exploring somewhere new.
"I chose GW for its location, diversity, and opportunity. Every aspect of my program is hands on and intentional, allowing me to engage with people and topics throughout the city while purposefully honing my skills as a photographer and visual storyteller. Many of my professors have distinguished jobs in the city, offering both insight and direction to the work we do in and outside of the classroom. At GW, I feel both challenged and inspired"
