Few creators are more in tune with art as a mechanism for change than Dana Tai Soon Burgess, chair of the Department of Theatre & Dance, cultural ambassador for the U.S. State Department and a renowned choreographer that The Washington Post described as perhaps “the poet laureate of Washington dance.”
