The majority of Columbian College’s classroom, lab and living spaces are located in Washington, D.C., on GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus—walking distance to the White House, the State Department, the Smithsonian Institution, the Pew Research Center and a variety of other government agencies and cultural and research centers.
Students are engaged with the nation’s capital through hundreds of internship and research opportunities that include the National Science Foundation, D.C. Superior Court and National Geographic.
"When I walk around the city, I feel like I'm not far removed from my future. My whole life and so many opportunities are right here in front of me. Going to school here is so inspiring."
We invite you to visit GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus to experience firsthand the vibrancy and significance of our location. Embedded in the nation’s capital, GW is accessible via three major airports, Union Station and D.C.’s extensive metro and bus lines. Once you are here, lodging, international dining options and other attractions, such as the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, are all within walking distance from campus.
