The majority of Columbian College’s classroom, lab and living spaces are located in Washington, D.C., on GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus—walking distance to the White House, the State Department, the Smithsonian Institution, the Pew Research Center and a variety of other government agencies and cultural and research centers.

Students are engaged with the nation’s capital through hundreds of internship and research opportunities that include the National Science Foundation, D.C. Superior Court and National Geographic.

We invite you to visit GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus to experience firsthand the vibrancy and significance of our location. Embedded in the nation’s capital, GW is accessible via three major airports, Union Station and D.C.’s extensive metro and bus lines. Once you are here, lodging, international dining options and other attractions, such as the National Mall and Smithsonian museums, are all within walking distance from campus.

Foggy Bottom Campus

This historic campus, nestled between the White House, the Kennedy Center and a number of federal and international agencies, gives you unparalleled opportunities and turns the city into your classroom.

Whether you're looking to learn from experts in our classrooms, experience the arts in our studios and museums, make discoveries in our research facilities, relax with friends in our green spaces, or explore the city, Foggy Bottom has something for you.

 

Mount Vernon Campus

This campus, affectionately known as "The Vern," provides a traditional college campus atmosphere just a few miles from the bustle of downtown. The Vern is home to residence halls, academic buildings, athletic facilities, a library and even an outdoor challenge course, all surrounded by rolling green hills.

Access between The Vern and Foggy Bottom is easy, with a shuttle service running around the clock.

Our Forensic Sciences programs are located on our Mt Vernon Campus.

 

Virginia Education Centers

Beyond GW’s main campuses, Columbian College offers graduate programs online and at Graduate Education Centers in Alexandria and Arlington. Regardless of how or where you take your courses, you have access to the full benefit of GW’s acclaimed faculty and academic excellence.

The Art Therapy and Forensic Psychology programs are offered at our Alexandria Education Center, and the Organizational Sciences program is located at our Arlington Education Center.
