This workshop will provide faculty the opportunity to discuss personal and departmental challenges in moving laboratory courses to a hybrid or completely virtual environment. In this workshop, we will ask participants to briefly present their key challenges, concerns, and experiences, which will help us make connections between colleagues with similar challenges and foster future discussions around solutions. We will also review some online laboratory options for faculty to serve as a baseline for further thinking and discussion.

This workshop is part of a series of CCAS Faculty Workshops organized by the CCAS Undergraduate Studies Committee and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies.

Speakers

  • Ashley Mills-Thomson, Chemistry Laboratory Supervisor
  • Carson Murray, Associate Professor of Anthropology
  • Mark Reeves, Professor of Physics
