Copyright and Fair Use: A Broader Picture
Sponsored by GW Libraries and Academic InnovationThis session is co-led by Deborah Bezanson, Senior Research Librarian with LAI, and Barrett Matthews, Compliance Officer, Copyright & Scholarly Communications with LAI. Trish Arnold, Instructional Designer with CCAS, will facilitate. Our goal is that attendees gain a broader picture of what copyright is and how copyright compliance in a course can be achieved. By the end of the session, we hope attendees are able to recall what copyright and fair use are; remember good practices in handling third party materials in a course; relate to the perspective of the copyright holder; and identify GW stakeholders who can address questions.
