CCAS Announces Tuition Discounts for those Impacted by Federal Workforce Reductions
George Washington University’s Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) is offering Dean’s Awards, providing a tuition discount of approximately 20%, to current and recently dismissed members of the federal workforce who are interested in starting a master's degree or graduate certificate program in the 2025-2026 academic year. During this time of transition and uncertainty for those impacted by the administration’s downsizing efforts, this initiative signifies the College’s commitment to equipping the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators with the skills needed to attain professional success.
To accommodate those who’ve been affected by recent developments, CCAS is continuing to accept fall 2025 applications to many of our Master’s Degree and Graduate Certificate programs, and will soon begin accepting applications for spring 2026. Students admitted to these programs, including programs in the college's Trachtenberg School of Public Policy & Public Administration, the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, and the School of Media & Public Affairs, will be eligible for the tuition discount. (This tuition discount cannot be combined with any other tuition awards that have been offered to admitted students. Some other restrictions may apply.)
Qualified applicants must complete an admissions application for fall 2025 or spring 2026 enrollment, including proof of federal civil service employment or affected status. Please upload this documentation as part of the resume required in your application.
CCAS will also provide an application fee waiver to qualified applicants. To claim this waiver, simply follow these instructions on “How to Use a Fee Waiver Code” and enter the code “FEDERAL” in the appropriate box.
