Student Services Coordinator
As a current George Washington University graduate student, you have the support of a designated Student Services Coordinator within the College of Arts and Sciences. Your Student Services Coordinator will guide you throughout your tenure at GW. This person can help you navigate university policies and procedures and connect you directly to the resources you need.
In addition, your Student Services Coordinator works in conjunction with your academic advisor to ensure you are optimizing your time here at GW. Our team hosts a variety of social and academic programming to enhance your graduate student experience. Your Student Services Coordinator is located on Foggy Bottom campus in the Academic Center, Smith Hall Suite 118.

Libraries and Facilities
GW Libraries
The GW Libraries support the research and learning goals of students and faculty. You will have access to a wide range of library services, from book borrowing and study rooms to support for scholarly communication and electronic theses and dissertations.
Fine & Performing Arts Spaces
With smaller spaces like the student-run Gallery 102 to D.C. historic landmarks like Lisner Auditorium and the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design’s Flagg Building, GW is one of the most stimulating places to learn, observe and engage in the arts. On-campus spaces are used by university and visiting artists and performers alike.
Media & Language Labs
The School of Media and Public Affairs provides a wide array of state-of-the-art production and broadcasting facilities enabling students to learn and use industry-standard equipment. Students interested in studying foreign languages can make use of the Language Center, which offers a media room with state-of-the-art computers and software and media dedicated to language studies.
Student Health Insurance

The Student Health Insurance payment amount and timeline are noted in your award letter. Note that only students with a GA or GRA position for at least one semester of the academic year are eligible for the payment. You must also be enrolled in GW’s student health insurance
plan to receive the payment. The payment will post to your student account after the start of term as a credit. Usually this is done by November 15 for Fall and March 15 for Spring at the latest. You should pay the balance of your bill before the start of classes. How to Request a Refund for the Health Insurance Related Payment or Another Credit
For instructions, please see the Office of Student Accounts website. You may also leave the credit on your bill to be applied toward a future term.
