American Studies MA students Amanda Figueroa and Brady Forrest were each awarded a University Archives Diversity Research Fellowship.

Michelle Frankfurter published the book Destino (FotoEvidence, 2014), a photo documentary of the Central American migration across Mexico.

Muriel Hasbun won a $5,000 W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund Howard Chapnick Grant for the laberinto project, her arts, media and education presentation on artists working in Central America during the Salvadoran civil war.

Paula Howie was named an Honorary Lifetime Member of the American Art Therapy Association.

Nicole Lee, a professorial lecturer for the University Writing Program, was awarded a $9,000 Artist Fellowship by the DC Commission for the Arts and Humanities.
