Elisabeth Anker authored the book Orgies of Feeling: Melodrama and the Politics of Freedom (Duke University Press).

Donna Betts won the 2014 Best Paper Award from Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association for her article “A Review of the Principles for Culturally-Appropriate Art Therapy Assessment Tools.”

Jenna Weissman Joselit received the Simon Rockower Award from the American Jewish Press Association in the category of “Excellence in Arts and Criticism, News and Features.”

Steven Livingston was named a Bellagio/Pop Tech Catalyst and presented at the 2014 Bellagio/PopTech Fellows convention.

Sofie Miller wrote “Paul Ryan Anti-Poverty Plan Targets Regressive Regulation| Commentary” for Roll Call.

Political Science PhD student Christopher Mitchell's dissertation, "Saving the Market from Itself: Bailouts, Nationalizations, and the Politics of Financial Intervention," was awarded the Samuel Beer Prize for best dissertation on British politics by the British Politics Group of the American Political Science Association.

Gregory D. Squires co-authored the article “Equitable Development Moves Forward in the Nation’s Capital,” published in the journal Social Policy.

Sergio Waisman’s book Borges and Translation: The Irreverence of the Periphery was published in Italian (Bucknell University Press). He also wrote the article "The 'Other' Sort: A Nearly Invisible Scene of Translation" for the journal Ciberletras.

Economics PhD student Xiaohui Wu wrote “U.S. education lets kids be kids” for The Baltimore Sun.
