The Art Therapy Graduate Program, located in Alexandria, Va., is home to the Art Therapy Art Gallery, established in 2008 to showcase the work of students, faculty, alumni, clients (when permitted) and professional therapists. Special exhibits with an art therapy focus are also featured. The gallery exemplifies the benefits of art therapy as an outlet for the expressive use of drawing, painting and sculpture—when combined with psychological concepts—to help heal the mind and body.
