Teaching Courses in Languages Other than English
This workshop focuses on language, literature and culture courses taught in languages other than English. The session will include discussions on course design (e.g. class activities, assignments, assessments) and strategies for keeping students engaged in both small and large groups. Faculty from a variety of language and literature programs will present tips on Blackboard Collaborate (breakout groups, tests, and VoiceThread); using social media effectively; and Powerpoint with voiceover. The session will be held on Blackboard Collaborate, but the discussion will include strategies relevant to all platforms.
