Mariela Cabanillas

Mariela Cabanillas (BA '21, Sociology, minor in Creative Writing) graduated cum laude from GW, where she was a Cisneros Institute Scholar and studied abroad in Chile. Based in the Washington, DC area, she has built her career in the nonprofit sector, bringing bilingual (English/Spanish) expertise to grants management, communications, and digital storytelling for mission-driven organizations. Most recently, she worked at La Clínica del Pueblo and continues to support nonprofits through consulting projects. Outside of work, you can usually find her with a book in hand, at a concert, or catching a comedy show.
