Liberal Arts in an AI World: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Teaching

The Columbian College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite CCAS faculty and PhD students to a panel discussion focused on ways faculty can best navigate the shifting landscape that AI technology brings to liberal arts learning objectives. The panel will look at how AI can be integrated to advance critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and written and oral communication.

Leading the discussion will be Professor of Media and Public Affairs Matt Hindman, Professor of Physics Oleg Kargaltsev, Associate Professor of Writing Jessica McCaughey and Associate Professor of Art History Bibiana Obler. They will talk about their approach to teaching in an AI world from a disciplinary perspective, including how they manage assignments, activities and classroom discussions.
