Elizabeth Block, BA ’94, (English, Art History)  authored the book Dressing Up: The Women Who Influenced French Fashion (MIT Press, 2021).

Lisa Bowleg (Psychology) received a $99,655 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for research on the stigma surrounding HIV.

Jody Ganiban (Psychology) was awarded a $68,320 grant from NIH to study social ecological assets and mental health among diverse youth.

Ana Maria del Rio Gonzalez (Psychology) received a $15,935 grant from NIH to examine intersectional discrimination measures for health disparities research.

Leon Grayfer (Biology) was awarded a $276,018 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to study Medicaid coverage of opioid use disorder treatment.

Carly Jordan (Biology) received a $136,016 grant from NSF to further undergraduate participation in ecology and evolution research.

Oleg Kargaltsev (Physics) was awarded a $84,165 grant from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to study the mining of globular clusters in massive star remains.

Watson Leffel, BA ’16,  (Organizational Sciences, Psychology) authored the article “Making The Future Of Work Work For Everyone” in Forbes.

Miok Debby Pak (EALL) received a $19,882 grant from The Korea Foundation for the GW Gamification Textbook Project.

Katrina L. Pariera (Organizational Sciences & Communication) co-authored the research article “Encouraging Parental Sexual Communication with Teen Sons: A Social Norms Experiment” in the journal Health Communication.

Danny Rouhier, BA ’03, (Political Science) was inducted into the GW Athletics Hall of Fame for his achievements on the baseball team.

Jasmine M. Rush, MFA ’19, (Classical Acting) performed a one-woman show titled Queens Girl in the World at the Central Square Theatre in Boston, Mass.

Dmitry Streletskiy (Geography) co-authored the article “Impacts of permafrost degradation on infrastructure” in the journal Nature Reviews Earth & Environment.

Mengjiao Wang, MFA ’21, (Interior Architecture) won the Student Design Award in the 2021 IIDA MAC Design Competition with her submission “NEXT Office.”
