Ezi Emenike

Hello! My name is Ezi Emenike. I am a first-year graduate student at the School of Media and Public Affairs, earning a master's degree in Media and Strategic Communication. I grew up in the capital city of Florida, and I'm very proud of my Tallahassee roots. I wanted to explore the West Coast, so I moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication. The summer before my senior year of college, I interned in the US House of Representatives. The positive impact that experience had on my life was invaluable. I want to become a press secretary or communications director on the Hill. I knew I wanted to study political and strategic communication in graduate school. Throughout my grad school decision-making journey, it became clear that GW is the best place for me to be able to actualize my goals. Now that I am here, I'm so thankful for my decision because I could not have been more correct. I am a student-athlete on GW's varsity women's rowing team. My favorite part of the day is rowing past the Washington Memorial at Sunrise on the Potomac River.

"GW is the perfect graduate school environment. The iconic city, the faculty who are trailblazers in your specific field, the resources readily available for students, the far-reaching alumni network, the adaptive schedule, and the list goes on and on. Constantly, I feel inspired to be the best version of myself, which is one of the main reasons I chose to study at George Washington University."
