More than 60 Columbian College alumni, students, and faculty came together for a celebratory event in the City View Room to mark the 50 year anniversary of the Politics & Value Program at GW. The event’s featured speaker was Jeff Jacoby, BA, ’79 (political science), an award-winning columnist for The Boston Globe who emphasized the importance of free speech and civil discourse. Also giving remarks was CCAS Dean Paul Wahlbeck and Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Politics & Value Program Sam Goldman.
