About the Event
This discussion introduces students to the new exhibition, “In Slavery’s Wake: Slavery, Race and the Making of Our World” at the Smithsonian’s African American History Museum. The exhibition is international, collaborative and focused on slavery and its impact on the present. Dr. Gardullo will discuss the promise and challenges of doing exhibition work and how COVID has complicated things but also laid some systems bare.
