Hi! I’m Megan Rink, a Master’s student in the Museums, History, and Culture program at The George Washington University. I’m from Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned my B.A. in History from North Carolina State University.
I chose GW for its unparalleled connections to Washington, D.C.’s museums and cultural institutions, which offer incredible opportunities for hands-on learning and professional growth. Being part of the inaugural cohort has been truly special—our small, close-knit community has not only supported one another but also helped shape the future of the program.
Having grown up visiting family in D.C., it felt natural to make the move and become part of the city’s vibrant museum landscape. My studies focus on museum collections and aerospace history, and I’ve gained hands-on experience through internships at the International Spy Museum and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I’m passionate about how objects and collections bring history to life and spark curiosity and discovery!
