Geography Professor Meets with Delegates from Ministry of Environment of Korea

On February 19, Prof. Melissa Keeley from the GW Geography Department hosted a meeting for a delegation of 12 members sponsored by the Ministry of Environment of Korea. The delegation was led by Ms. LEE Hye Kyung, an Environment Engineer and joined by local representatives of United States of Environment Protection Agency (EPA), DC Water and DC Office of Planning. In Dean Wahlbeck's welcome remarks, he emphasized the importance of university providing a platform for knowledge exchange for policy makers and academia. During the half-day long meeting, the attendees were able to discuss important issues such as green infrastructure.
