Columbian College offers 68 undergraduate minors, allowing students a variety of ways to explore a field outside of their major.

Students interested in pursuing a minor should consult a faculty advisor in the applicable department and declare both major and minor programs through the Office of Undergraduate Studies.

Undergraduates may declare up to two minors.

"To fulfill my writing requirement sophomore year, I found myself enrolled in an 8 a.m. introductory-level journalism course. It was one of my most challenging classes at GW, but it was indisputably the most rewarding. I ended up minoring in journalism and interning for news organizations including NPR and USA Today."
