Graduate Programs

Welcome to the Graduate programs in the Arts and Sciences. We are a large and diverse community, with some 2,500 students in over 50 degree programs. CCAS graduate students do field research in Kenya on their way to a PhD in Hominid Paleobiology; they work with curators at the Smithsonian Institution as they earn their MA in Museum Studies; they learn real-world techniques from medical examiners as they train for a degree in Forensic Sciences.

Our faculty and students are committed to the life of the intellect even as they engage with some of the complex practical issues in their fields. They leave GW career-ready and in high demand for a variety of academic, legislative, managerial, curatorial, research, and service activities.

Whether you are a current or prospective member of the Columbian College community, our website offers a wealth of information. Please explore this site to discover the exciting opportunities available to graduate students.
