Department and Faculty

Your academic department and faculty adviser will be your first point of contact for information and support. Together with staff and administrators in your school’s Office of the Dean, they will work with you to answer questions about academic policies and procedures, resolve any problems and direct you to specialized services.

Financial Services

Students admitted to a GW graduate degree or approved certificate program can learn about federal Stafford Loans, Graduate PLUS loans and alternative loans through our Office of Student Financial Assistance.

Disability Support Services

GW ensures that students with disabilities may participate fully in university life, derive the greatest benefit from their educational experiences and achieve maximum personal success.

Career and Employment Services

The GW Career Center provides career and employment resources—including the GWork job listing service—to graduate students in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Media and Public Affairs. The School of Public Policy and Public Administration provides school-based career services to its graduate students.

Safety and Security

GW is committed to helping all members of our community provide for their own safety and security. From the strategic placement of blue-light emergency phones on campus to emergency medical response, transportation services and victim assistance, the GW Office of Safety & Security works to maintain and enhance the safety and security of our campuses.
