CCAS Protecting The Liberal Arts Educational Experience

The theme for this year's lecture is "Protecting the Liberal Arts Educational Experience," and we are looking for panelists to highlight the contributions of their field to the liberal arts experience.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, we will be showcasing the richness of the educational experience worth saving. Despite the challenges we face today, we believe that liberal arts education is a value that should be protected. From the banning of books to the failures of not acknowledging scientific evidence of a continuing climate crisis, we seek to educate the community on why liberal arts education is so important.

We will have a few panelists from various areas in CCAS:

  • Cal So: PhD Candidate in the Department of Biological Sciences
  • Jennifer Garcia: Alumni of CCAS (’22) & Cisneros Institute
  • André Culbreath: Director of CCAS Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
  • Nicole Bartels: Teaching Assistant Professor of Political Science

If you are interested in attending, please complete the registration by, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, by 11:59 pm. If you have any questions, email [email protected]. We look forward to you attending and learning more about Protecting the Liberal Arts Educational Experience!
