The Department of Religion at the George Washington University offers a Masters of Arts degree that focuses on the religions of Hinduism and Islam. Students in this program will study with distinguished faculty from GW and three other local universities (American, Catholic, and Georgetown). Students work toward a mastery of the following topics: theory and method in the study of religion, the tradition of either Hinduism or Islam, and the comparison between Hinduism, Islam, and other religious tradition.

A doctoral program in American religious history is offered in cooperation with the History Department.
