Offered through the Center for Professional Psychology, the Doctor of Psychology degree in the field of clinical psychology is a psychodynamically-oriented program offering opportunities for specialization in four areas: psychodynamic psychotherapy and assessment; group and systems intervention in hospital, forensic, and other community programs; child therapy, assessment, and early detection in individual, family, and school settings; and psychological assessment and intervention.

Coursework is designed to be completed within three years of full-time study (fall, spring, and summer sessions). Upon completion of coursework and prior to receiving the Psy.D. degree, students perform a one-year, full-time internship at a site approved by the faculty. The program offers extensive opportunities for practical training in a variety of clinical settings.

The PsyD program is fully accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
