Graduate research is generally in one of three areas: cell, molecular, and developmental biology; systematics and evolution; or environmental biology. Students have the opportunity to include part of their training at local research institutions (including the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History, the National Institutes of Health, and the US Department of Agriculture). Both thesis and non-thesis master's degrees are available. |
