Our art therapy program is one of the oldest in the country and is approved by the American Art Therapy Association. Art therapists offer clients the opportunity to experience the kind of functioning and insights possible in the process of making artworks. The program faculty represents various approaches to art therapy, and students may choose from among a wide range of practicum placements. While a broad exposure to the field is offered, it is possible to specialize in working with particular populations or in art therapy research.
