Alumni Recognized for Outstanding Achievement
Three Columbian College alumni – Leonard Wartofsky; BS ’59, MS ’61, MD ’64, MPH ’95; Mary Margaret Whipple, MA ’69; and Sherri Rose, BS ’05—received the Alumni Achievement Award, the GW Alumni Association’s highest form of recognition. The award highlights their lasting impact on society though outstanding professional, voluntary, or philanthropic accomplishments. Read more.
Alumna Lands Starring Role
Alumna Kerry Washington, BA ’98, stars in ABC’s new drama, “Scandal.” The show, based on D.C.’s PR genius Judy Smith, is Washington’s first lead role on a television show.
